With over 20 years of experience in financial and operational management, Diana launched Balance Financial Management in 2009 combining the expertise of seasoned financial professionals team-focused culture aimed at creating sustainable companies.  In addition to her role at Balance, Diana formally served as Chief Compliance Officer of Morton Capital Management, a $1.4B SEC registered investment advisor. From 2008 to early 2014, Diana was the Chief Financial and Compliance Officer at West Coast Asset Management, a boutique SEC registered investment advisor, where she managed all accounting, finance, HR and SEC compliance for the firm, including oversight of financial transactions and operations for multiple private equity, real estate and investment funds.  Diana was responsible for multiple PCAOB audits annually, the setup and structure of new investment funds and investor financial reporting, and related SEC reporting. Prior to her position at West Coast, Diana was CFO at a venture engineering firm where she managed multi-million dollar federal grants from agencies including the Department of Energy, Department of Defense and National Institutes of Health. She specializes in all aspects of cost accounting including non-profit and federal cost allocation plans, multiple entity structures, partnerships and consolidations and multi-currency transactions. She received her B.S. in Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, her Juris Doctorate at the Santa Barbara College of Law, and is a member of the State Bar of California.  Diana is also a Partner with Social Venture Partners Santa Barbara, a board member with the California Coast Venture Forum (Clean Business Investment Summit) since 2007, a board member with UCSB Affiliates since 2013, Board Treasurer of Wilderness Youth Project since 2014 and Co-founder of Impact Hub Santa Barbara.  Diana has a strong passion toward building social […]
